Dharmapuri has an array of issues ranging from female foeticide, child labour, handicapped children (over 3% of the population is handicapped) and leprosy.
Interventions
NCM India is touching the community of Dharmapuri by conducting tuition and coaching classes for the children, providing supplementary nutrition, providing recreational activities and raising awareness about social issues among other things.

In order to make ends meet, some women become commercial sex workers. There is a minor substance abuse problem as well.
Occupations:
Agricultural laborers, mason laborers, construction workers, small business owners (for example, vegetable shops and smal mechanics sheds)

Needs
Although our work is impacting so many lives, there are still many lives left to be touched.We need prayer and financial support to extend our impact and make the program more inclusive.
