NCM-India provides relief to those impacted and affected by natural disasters and tragedies. Whenever and wherever disaster strikes in India, NCM-India is there to make sure that the needs of the people affected are met.
In India, along with the Church, NCM has been able to rehabilitate those affected by disasters.
In order to respond to a disaster effectively, your response must be multi-faceted. NCM-India provides for the basic needs of those affected as well as caring for their emotional and psychological well-being as well.
According to the immediate needs of those affected, NCM-India distributes essential goods such as food grains, blankets and clothing.
After providing for their basic needs, NCM-India engages in rehabilitation programs that enable the affected communities to get back on their feet and return to their normal lives.
NCM-India also encourages the local community to build infrastructure such as schools and churches.
The communities affected by calamaties that NCM-India has had the priviledge of proactively serving are Bhuj (in the aftermath of the Gujarat earthquake), Mumbai, Sanghvi-Karad areas, Angul, Orissa and Bihar (during floods), Pondicherry (in the aftermath of the tsnumai) and Kandhamal in Orissa (in the aftermath of the communal violence).
We have been able to touch the lives of those affected by providing for their basic needs. Thousands of men, women and children have been impacted by our concerted efforts.
